History with Doehring, Winders & Co. LLP:
Matt originally joined Doehring, Winders & Co. in July 2006, after
beginning his public accounting career in January 2001 with a large
independent CPA firm in the Chicago area.
In 2009, he worked in industry as Operations Director for a regional
retail music company. He rejoined the
firm in 2011. Matt became a partner in
Matt earned his B.S. in Accountancy from Illinois State University in
2001. He graduated Summa Cum Laude.
Matt has over 15 years of accounting, auditing, financial, and operational
experience drawing from his years in public accounting and in private
business. He began his public
accounting career in the Chicago area with Miller, Cooper & Co., Ltd.
from January 2001 to June 2006 before joining Doehring, Winders & Co. LLP
He has experience serving clients in a broad range of industries,
Not-for-Profit Organizations, including Churches
He specializes in helping private businesses with
their financial statements, audits, reviews, and tax return
He also helps individuals and private
businesses with tax planning, forecasting & budgets, accounting software
conversions, and business planning including choice of entity (e.g., LLC,
sole proprietor, partnership, S Corporations).

Involvement in the Community:
Matt is an active member of the Presbyterian Church in Effingham, where he
currently enjoys teaching the High School class and serving as an Elder. He is also an active member and of
Effingham Sunrise Rotary Club, member of Pinnacle Forum, treasurer &
board member of Effingham County Chamber of Commerce, treasurer and board
member of Effingham FCA, and board member of Effingham County Council on
Matt and his wife, Amber, reside in Effingham, Illinois, with their two
daughters. Matt enjoys playing guitar,
watching football, reading, and spending time with family.
